Khalilah's Story
Well, hello there chickadees! My name is Khalilah (pronounced like Delilah with a "K"). So, I am assuming this is the part where I give my spiel about how profound my leap into the fashion arena was. Welp! I will not lie to you friends. Fashion has been an innate part of me for the majority of my life. I have received phone calls, text messages and emails with fashion questions every single day for about as long as I can remember. I have a strong working knowledge of textiles, cuts, style, textures, body composition, proportions etc. While I am formally educated, with a BBA in Human Resources Management and a MBA in Marketing, I also have done my research and legwork in the fashion arena. I was an Urban Darling licensed Image Consultant for 2 years, participated in various fashion shows, wrote Dolled Up For The Day and currently write Khalilah's Kloset blog, the fashion and style column for Black Woman Unleashed, volunteered with Dress for Success, coordinated fashion show fundraisers for non-profits Women of Wisdom and Combat Boots to Makeup Brushes. Currently, I am the Marketing/Image Consultant for Combat Boots to Makeup Brushes, am a brand ambassador for several boutiques and I have operated as an independent consultant for 8 years. Recently, it was my esteemed honor and pleasure to be voted and recognized as Star Central Magazine's Fashionista of the Month for April 2016. So, fashion is kind of my "thing".
What IS new to me is stepping out into the ecommerce arena. I offer wardrobe stylist, closet audit, personal shopping, wardrobe management and special event image consulting services. Additionally, I also present to women's retreats, businesses and mentoring programs for teenage girls on the significance of personal image. Need a little assistance with enhancing your look?
