Me & My Rando Life

Hey there sugar pants! In my quest to share more about me in 2016 as opposed to just my sense of personal style, I have decided to give useless and random information about myself. People tend to think that my life revolves around fashion. Although it is a huge part of who I am, there is still a lot more to me than meets the eye. This week, I will start off with 20 Questions!

My Random Outfit: Mint and black aztec print Material Girl bodycon dress w/ cutouts that I got on clearance for 5 doll hairs from Macy's (the only time I make a purchase from Macy's is if it's on clearance), white faux fur vest that I bought on clearance from Target and mint hidden platform pumps...I have had them for years and unfortunately cannot recall where I picked them up at

1. What is your favorite flavor of jellybean? The flavor that is NOT so much a jellybean but more so peach cobbler

2. What's your favorite Christmas movie? Christmas Vacation but animated easily A Charlie Brown Christmas

3. If you could live in any period of history, when would it be? I love the 50’s & 60’s for the fashion. But I would certainly pass on the whole racism and segregation shenanigans.

4. Tell me 10 things that I'd see when I walk in your door? Hubby’s shoes, toddler toys galore, snacks, fashion magazines, hardwood floors, lots of Christmas cards, junk mail, “the Jones Family” over the fireplace, basketball hoop, “worry about nothing Pray about everything” on the wall

5. What kind of celebration would there be on a "St. YOU" day? St. Khalilah’s day would incorporate lots of food: plenty of savory but heavy on the dessert side, lots of dancing to upbeat pop dance music with some sprinkled in rap, people would give wigs, books, hats, accessories, shoes and clothes of course, as gifts of appreciation. All of this repeated on a loop the entire day with intermittent naps

6. Who would play you in a movie about your life? Sanaa Lathan (since she's the celebrity I am told I resemble the most frequently)

7. Give me three words that describe you. Free. Pisces. Fair.

8. What was the best birthday you ever had? My 30th birthday when I rented a stretch Lincoln, had a hot pink, silver, black & white Chanel cake and enjoyed All Star weekend in AZ with my family and a few friends

9. If you were a ghost, where would you haunt? My own home to see what is done with all my favorite pieces in my wardrobe and scare the holy hayell out of anyone who does not do right by my fashion memory #petty

10. What kind of car did you wish you had when you were a kid? What about now? I wanted a Cadillac they were always dignified cars to me and then I wanted a Lincoln for the same reason. I actually own one now (I call her the Black Dahlia) and love it! It's not a new car but it's perfect for me you can just call me the heifer in the zephyr!

11. If you had to make an iPod playlist named after you, what songs would be on it? Anything Beyoncé has ever sang, This Woman's Work, The God in Me and any every line dance or instructional dance song ever created, Reggaeton, and Dance Hall music

12. If you eat yourself would you become twice as big or disappear entirely? Well knowing me and my luck I absolutely would become twice as big which means there would be double the fabulousity and hopefully a bigger stomach so I can enjoy even more!! Relax, I do partake of totally counterproductive exercising. LBVS

13. When was the last time you lied to someone? To whom and why? Ummm, to you right now when I say I have never lied to anyone because this is a public blog open to anyone and if I lied to them, chances are I wouldn't want them to find out let alone all of my readers lol.

14. What makes you bored? I believe only the boring suffer from boredom and that I am not #boop

15. Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying? Is this a real question, I absolutely would without blinking an eye.

16. How do you have your eggs? I eat my eggs hard-boiled (egg whites only) unless it's blended to the hilt in a cake or cookie.

17. What do you have on your fridge door? Alphabet magnets, coupons, invitations, a calendar, extra postage stamps, pictures of my son and a picture of a random family who gave my husband the picture when they found out he was active-duty.

18. Do you like your music loud or easy listening? Depends...super loud when I'm riding in my car alone. Easy listening when I'm cleaning.

19. Are you a clean or messy person? Contrary to popular belief, I am NOT a neat freak. I have my idiosyncrasies (my kitchen HAS to be clean) but I'd say I'm more messy than clean.

20. Are you the sort to step in and try to break up a fight? Absolutely, I have done so several times in my life. I think this is one of those things that my friends and family love about me but also hate.

So, there you have it. “Me” in a nutshell if you know how simplistically complex I am. Or “me” in a novel if I just do not tickle your fancy!
