Hi sweet face so glad that you're back! If you're new, thank you for visiting and welcome! So, I had my topic planned out and actually written for this week. However, because I found out I was nominated for the Star Central Magazine’s fashionista of the month last week, I wanted to discuss that. Cause...fashionista of the month!
If you have followed me and my blogs over the years you know that I am not super formal and I daresay pretentious with blogging. I am not a blog snob and I am not a fashion snob by any stretch of the imagination. I like talking to people who love fashion. I like talking to people who hate fashion and those who know nothing about fashion at all. I take my own pictures. I manage my own blog and website It is a lot of work but I do it all because I have a desire to help others release their full style potential, love fashion and I kind of like to write too. I do love fashion but I love people more and I am not as concerned with if people like me as much as helping people figure out how to love themselves! With that being said, I will admit, I am not nearly as popular as I probably could be if I conformed to some of the formulas that a lot of fashionistas use or that a lot of bloggers put into place to build their audiences and social media presence. As a matter of fact, honestly I do not even know how popular I may or may not be because I don't track it. I used to and I found that it was counterproductive and I think it actually played a huge role in why I stopped blogging a few years back. I probably over share in the fact that I don't only share information about fashion or outfits or celebrity style, but I share my LIFE because I like to give people a look at an overall lifestyle.

Anyway, this brings me to the fashionista of the month contest. I have to sincerely thank each and every person who has voted for me! I am very flattered that I was even nominated even more so when I found out that there were hundreds of fashionistas who were nominated but I was one of four who moved forward for the actual contest. The number of people who have voted, shared and just left encouraging and kind supportive words for me, is insane! Knock on wood, but I am currently in the lead. The other nominees have thousands more followers on their Instagram accounts than my Facebook and Instagram accounts combined! So who wouldn't be flattered? I would love to say that it was just because of my awesome sense of style lol but I honestly do not think so. I think that the fact that I really make a conscientious effort to treat everyone as though they're the only person who matters, at least for our interaction, has endeared people to me. Voting for the contest still runs for a week (thru February 26th). I have to say that the show of support and all of the encouragement for something that I know a lot of people consider frivolous and vapid is enough for me. After the year I had last year, this is already proof positive 2016 will indeed be better. If I am not bestowed the honor of fashionista of the month, knowing you believe in me has been honor enough! #shewins. Thank you for reading!
